Admission of Students

The college admit students whose eligibility depends entirely on academic attainments. Reservation of seats for SC/ST candidates is according with Government rules.
The criteria of admission into degree classes are determined by the Admission Board of the college within the framework of the rules of University of Calcutta.

Rules for Admission

A.  Collection of Admission Forms
Printed applications forms and Prospectus are available from the College office at a price fixed by the college from time to time on production of original Mark-Sheet of the last qualifying examination.

B.  Submission of Admission Forms for Merit List

a) Duly filled in forms should be submitted to the College office within the stipulated dates and time.
b) Application forms must be accompanied by the photocopies of the following documents:
  i) Mark-Sheet of the last qualifying examination.
ii) Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination (For Age proof).
iii) SC/ST certificate, if applicable.
iv) Photocopy of Migration Certificate of student coming from other Board / Council.
 
C. Requirements of Direct Admission
a) Three recent passport size photographs (unsigned and unattested).
b) Original and Photocopies of mark-sheets of all previous examinations.
c) Original and Photocopy of Admit Card of the Madhyamik or equivalent examination (for Age Proof).
d) A pass-certificate from the head of the institution last attended.

Original photocopy of SC/ST certificate (if applicable) from appropriate authority.
f) A student seeking admission after a break in study shall submit a certificate from a responsible person to the effect that he/she had not been admitted to any other college in the intervening period following his/her last final examination and that his/her conduct had been satisfactory. Student seeking admission to the 2nd or 3rd year class after such a break in studies shall apply to the University through the Principal for condonation of the break.
g)
As per the circular of C.U., Ref. no. DRSCT/165/2000/6[A] dt.01.06.2000, there shall be a reserved quota of 22% and 6% [=28%] for SC’s and ST’s respectively in each subject (Hons. courses).
